What the Scriptures say are of vital importance, because they affect your destiny for eternity. What world leaders say are not important because they lie all the time. What they say have no consequences. The Scriptures are the Word of God, inspired and infallible. The Martin Luther’s Solar Scriptura should be the example of every believer.

“Church historians call it sola Scriptura: by Scripture alone. Biblical counselors call it sufficiency of Scripture—trusting in God’s Word for the care of souls.
Luther always pointed people to the Word of God as their ultimate hope and primary help in suffering, sin, and sanctification. The Scriptures, for Luther, are sufficient to comfort the hurting, confront the sinning, and cheer the saint.
“You have the Apostle Paul who shows to you a garden, or paradise, which is full of comfort, when he says: ‘Whatever was written, was written for our instruction, so that through patience and the consolation of the Scriptures we might have hope’ (Rom. 15:4). Here he attributes to Holy Scripture the function of comforting. Who may dare to seek or ask for comfort anywhere else?”[i]
“Nothing helps more powerfully against the devil, the world, the flesh, and all evil thoughts than occupying oneself with God’s Word, having conversations about it, and contemplating it.”[iv]
1.) Rom 10:11, “For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.”
Romans 10:11-13. For the Scripture saith, &c. — He proceeds to prove, by the Scriptures, the saving effects of faith and confession, spoken of in the two last verses. He refers to Isaiah 28:16, and perhaps also to Psalm 25:3. Or, he means, that this is the general doctrine of the Scriptures: Whosoever believeth on him — Whether Jew or Gentile; shall not be ashamed — Disappointed of his expectation of salvation, or put to confusion in any imaginable circumstance. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek — As to the way of obtaining justification and salvation; for the same Lord of all — The Creator, Preserver, Governor, and Benefactor of the whole human race; is rich — Full of mercy and grace; so that his blessings are never to be exhausted, nor is he ever unable or unwilling to bestow them on such as are prepared to receive them; or, that call upon him — For them, sincerely, importunately, and in faith. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord — Not only of the Jews, but also of the Gentiles, as appears from Acts 2:21, where also these words of Joel are quoted; shall be saved — In the sense explained in the note there, and on Joel 2:32, which see. “The word in the prophet, in the original, is Jehovah, whence it is certain that the prophet speaks these words of the true and only God; and yet it is as certain that he ascribes them to Christ, both from the following words, How shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? (for the apostle, in this whole chapter discourses of faith in Christ,) and from the words foregoing, evidently spoken of Christ, of which these are a proof, and with which they are connected by the particle for. Here, then, we have two arguments for the divinity of Christ; 1st, That what is spoken of Jehovah is ascribed to him. 2d, That he is made the object of our religious invocation,” as he is also 1 Corinthians 1:2, and in many other passages of the epistles. — Whitby. Bishop Pearson, also, (on the Creed, p. 149,) argues at large from hence, that if Christ be not here called Jehovah, the apostle’s argument is quite inconclusive. It may be observed here likewise, that the great truth proposed, Romans 10:11, is so repeated in these two following verses, and further confirmed, Romans 10:14-15, as not only to imply that whosoever calleth upon him shall be saved, but also that the will of God is, that all should savingly call upon him.”
HIM REFERS TO JESUS CHRIST. ” WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME.” WHOEVER BELIEVES IN JESUS CHRIST WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME. Not only that, by repentance of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can be saved from the eternal suffering in Hell.
- ) Mat 21:16, “They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?” “Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.”
Verse 16. – Hearest thou what these say? They profess a great zeal for God’s honour. They recognize that these cries implied high homage, if not actual worship, and appeal to Jesus to put a stop to such unseemly behaviour, approaching, as they would pretend, to formal blasphemy. Yea. Jesus replies that he hears what the children say, but sees no reason for silencing them; rather he proves that they were only fulfilling an old prophecy, originally, indeed, applied to Jehovah, but one which he claims as addressed to himself. Have ye never read? (Matthew 12:5). The quotation is from the confessedly Messianic psalm (Psalm 8.), a psalm very often quoted in the New Testament, and as speaking of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 1:27; 1 Corinthians 15:27; Ephesians 1:22; Hebrews 2:6, etc.). Sucklings. This term was applied to children up to the age of three years (see 2 Macc. 7:27), but might be used metaphorically of those of tender age, though long weaned. Thou hast perfected praise. The words are from the Septuagint, which seems to have preserved the original reading. The present Hebrew text gives, “Thou hast ordained strength,” or “established a power.” In the Lord’s mouth the citation signifies that God is praised acceptably by the weak and ignorant when, following the impulse of their simple nature, they do him homage. Some expositors combine the force of the Hebrew and Greek by explaining that “the strength of the weak is praise, and that worship of Christ is strength” (Wordsworth). It is more simple to say, with Nosgen, that for the Hebrew “strength,” “praise” is substituted, in order to give the idea that the children’s acclamation was that which would still the enemy, as it certainly put to shame the captious objections of the Pharisees. Matthew 21:16.”
Children and infants have been taught to give praise to the Lord, how much more should adults.
3.) Mar 14:49, “Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there among you teaching every day. But these things are happening to fulfill what the Scriptures say about me.”

I was daily with you in the temple,…. That is, for several days past; ever since he made his public entry into Jerusalem: teaching; the people, in a public manner: and ye took me not; did not attempt to lay hands on him, seize him, and carry him away; which he signifies might have been easily done; See Gill on Matthew 26:55.
But the Scriptures must be fulfilled: which spoke of the betraying him by Judas; and of their taking him in this private and secret manner; and of the flight of the disciples from him next mentioned; See Gill on Matthew 26:56.”
The Scriptures must be fulfilled under whatever circumstances. When God says what will happen, what will happen.
4.) Rom 11:2-4, “ God has not rejected his own people, whom he chose from the very beginning. Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this? Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said,
“Lord, THEY HAVE KILLED YOUR PROPHETS, THEY HAVE TORN DOWN YOUR ALTARS, AND I ALONE AM LEFT, AND THEY ARE SEEKING MY LIFE.”
But what is the divine response to him? “I HAVE KEPT for Myself SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL.”
God hath set cast away – This is an explicit denial of the objection.
Which he foreknew – The word “foreknew” is expressive not merely of foreseeing a thing, but implies in this place a previous purpose or plan; see the note at Romans 8:29. The meaning of the passage is simply, God has not cast off those whom he had before purposed or designed to be his people. It is the declaration of a great principle of divine government that God is not changeable: and that he would not reject those whom he had purposed should be his people. Though the mass of the nation, therefore, should be cast off, yet it would not follow that God had violated any promise or compact; or that he had rejected any whom he had foreknown as his true people. God makes no covenant of salvation with those who are in their sins; and if the unbelieving and the wicked, however many external privileges they may have enjoyed, are rejected, it does not follow that he has been unfaithful to one whom he had foreknown or designated as an heir of salvation. It follows from this, also, that it is one principle of the divine government that God will not reject those who are foreknown or designated as his friends. It is a part of the plan, therefore, that those who are truly renewed shall persevere, and obtain eternal life.
Wot ye not – Know ye not.
What the Scripture saith? – The passage here quoted is found in 1 Kings 19:10-18.
Of Elias – Of Elijah. Greek, “Elijah” ἐν Ἡλιᾳ en Hēlia. This does not mean that it was said about Elijah, or concerning him; but the reference is to the usual manner of quoting the Scriptures among the Jews. The division into chapters and verses was to them unknown. (See the Introduction to the notes on Matthew.) Hence, the Old Testament was divided into portions designated by subjects. Thus, Luke 20:37; Mark 12:26, “At the bush,” means the passage which contains the account of the burning bush; (see the notes on those places.) Here it means, in that passage or portion of Scripture which gives an account of Elijah.
He maketh intercession to God against Israel – The word translated “maketh intercession” ἐντυγχάνει entungchanei means properly to come to the aid of anyone; to transact the business of anyone; especially to discharge the function of an advocate, or to plead one’s cause in a court of justice. In a sense similar to this it is applied to Christ in his function of making intercession for us in heaven; Hebrews 7:25; Isaiah 53:12. In the English language, the word is constantly used in a good sense, to plead for one; never, to plead against one; but the Greek word may imply either. It expresses the function of one who manages the business of another; and hence, one who manages the business of the state against a criminal; and when followed by the preposition for, means to intercede or plead for a person; when followed by against κατά kata, it means to accuse or arraign. This is its meaning here. He accuses or arraigns the nation of the Jews before God; he charges them with crime; the crime is specified immediately.”
God always kept for Himself people who would not worship idols.
5.) Rom 3:4, “Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him,
“You will be proved right in what You say, and You will win your case in court.”

God forbid, yea, let God be true, but every man a liar,…. Let no such thing ever enter into the minds of any, that the truth of God can be, or will be made of none effect by the want of faith in man; let it be always asserted and abode by; that God is true, faithful to his word, constant in his promises, and will always fulfil his purposes; though “every man is a liar”, vain, fallacious, and inconstant: referring to Psalm 116:11;
as it is written, Psalm 51:4;
that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. This is a proof that God is true, and stands to his word, though men are fallacious, inconstant, and wicked. God made a promise to David, that of the fruit of his body he would set upon his throne; that the Messiah should spring from him; that he would of his seed raise up unto Israel a Saviour. Now David sinned greatly in the case of Bathsheba, 2 Samuel 11:3 (title), but his sin did not make of no effect the truth and faithfulness of God: though David showed himself to be a weak sinful man, yet God appeared true and faithful to every word of promise which he had sworn in truth to him; and therefore when he was brought to a sense of his evil, and at the same time to observe the invariable truth and faithfulness of God, said, “I acknowledge my transgression, &c. against thee, thee only have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight”, Psalm 51:3, which confession of sin I make, “that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings”; or “when thou speakest”, Psalm 51:4, which is all one; that is, that thou mightest appear to be just, and faithful, and true in all thy promises, in every word that is gone out of thy mouth, which shall not be recalled and made void, on account of my sins; for though I have sinned, thou abidest faithful; and this also I declare with shame to myself, and with adoring views of thine unchangeable truth and goodness: “that thou mightest overcome”; that is, put to silence all such cavils and charges, as if the faith of God could be made void by the unfaithfulness of men: “when thou art judged”; when men will be so bold and daring to arraign thy truth and faithfulness, and contend with thee about them. This now is brought as a full proof, and is a full proof of this truth, that God is always true to his word, though men fail in theirs, and fall into sin. God kept his word with David concerning the stability of his kingdom, his successor, and the Messiah that should spring from him, though he acted a bad part against God. There is some little difference between these words as they stand in the Hebrew text of Psalm 51:4; and as they are cited and rendered by the apostle, in the last clause of them; in the former it is, “that thou mightest be clear”; in the latter, “that thou mightest overcome”. Now to vindicate the apostle’s version, let it be observed, that the Hebrew word signifies to “overcome”, as well as to “be clear”; of which instances may be given out of the Jewish writings. Says (l) Rabba; concerning an argument used by R. Chanina, in a controversy with other Rabbins, by this R. Chanina ben Antigonus, “hath overcome” them: and in another place (m), whosoever “overcomes” a king, they cast him into an empty ditch; where the gloss upon it is, he that overcomes a king by words, that is, by disputing with him, which is a disgrace to a king. So the word is used in the Syriac language in John 16:33. Moreover, the sense is the same, be it rendered either way; for as a man, when he overcomes his adversary, and carries his point against him, is clear of his charges and cavils, so God, when he overcomes in judgment, is clear of the imputations of wicked men. Another difference in the citation is, that what in the psalm is rendered “when thou judgest”, is by the apostle, “when thou art judged”, Psalm 51:4, the word, which is used by the Psalmist, may be rendered either way; either “when thou judgest”, as a word of the same form is rendered, when “thou speakest”, in Psalm 51:4; or “when anyone judges of thee”, or “when thou art judged”: a like instance is in Psalm 46:2; and so it is rendered by the Septuagint, and followed by the apostle, though the word he uses may be considered in the middle voice, and may have an active signification in it; and the phrase, , may be rendered, “when thou judgest”, and then both agree.”
Men are liars, God is always true.
6.) 1Co 2:9, “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
Verse 9. – But as it is written. The whole sentence in the Greek is unfinished. The thought seems to be, “But God has revealed to us things which eye hath not seen, etc., though the princes of this world were ignorant of them.” Scriptural quotations are often thus introduced, apart from the general grammar of the sentence, as in the Greek of 1 Corinthians 1:31. Eye hath not seen, etc. The Revised Version is here more literal and accurate. The quotation as it stands is not found in the Old Testament. It most resembles Isaiah 64:4, but also vaguely resembles Isaiah 53:15; 65:17. It may be another instance of a loose general reminiscence (comp. 1 Corinthians 14:21; Romans 9:33). “Non verbum e verbo expressit,” says St. Jerome, “sed παραφραστικῶς ευνδεμ σενσυμ aliis sermonibus indicavit.” St. Chrysostom regards the words as part of a lost prophecy. Origen, Zacharias of Chrysopolis, and others say that the words occurred in an apocryphal book, the ‘Apocalypse of Elias,’ but if so the apocryphal writer must have had the passage of Isaiah in his mind. Some regard the words as a fragment of some ancient liturgy. Origen thought that they came from the ‘Revelation of Elijah.’ They were also to be found in the ‘Ascension of Isaiah’ (Jerome on Isaiah 64:4). and they occur in the Talmud (Sanhedr. 99 a). In a curious fragment of Hegesippus (circ. A.D. 150) preserved in Photius (Cod. 232.), that old writer indignantly repudiates this passage, saying that it is futile and “utterly belies (καταψεύδεσθαι) the Holy Scriptures and the Lord, who says, ‘Blessed are your eyes which see, and your ears which hear.'” Photius cannot understand why (ὅτι καὶ παθὼν) Hegesippus should speak thus. Routh (‘Rel. Sacr.,’ 253) hardly knows how to excuse him; but perhaps if we had the context of the fragment we should see that he is attacking, not the words themselves, but some perversion of them by heretics, like the Docetae. The phrase, “As it is written,” decisively marks an intention to refer to Scripture. Neither have entered into the heart of man; literally, things which have not set foot upon the heart. The general thought is that God’s revelations (for the immediate reference is to these, and not to future bliss) pass all understanding. The quotation of these words as referring to heaven is one of the numberless instances of texts inaccurately applied. 1 Corinthians 2:9.”
I believe with all heart that “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” the Scriptures mean The Holy City, New Jerusalem, Revelation Chapter 21.
7.) Gal 4:30, “But what do the Scriptures say about that? “Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”
Verse 30. – Nevertheless what saith the Scripture? (ἀλλὰ τί λέγει ἡ γραφή). “Nevertheless:” man is acting thus; but, what cloth God say touching the matter? The similar question in Romans 11:4, “But what saith the answer of God (ὁ χρηματισμὸς) to him?” favours the belief that by “the Scripture” the apostle does not mean Scripture in general (as e.g. John 10:35), but the particular “passage of Scripture” to which he is referring (cf. John 19:37; Acts 1:16). The animation of his tone is that of the triumphant assertion of the Almighty’s will as an all-suffering answer to all objections and all discouragements. For “the Scripture” is equivalent to “the utterance of God;” not merely as found in an inspired volume, but because of the circumstances attending upon the speaking of the words (comp. Romans 9:17: Galatians 3:8). They were, indeed, uttered by Sarah; being, however, not words of a simply jealous and petulant woman, but of a righteously indignant matron, whose just, if severe, requirement was enforced upon the reluctant Abraham by God’s own express command. The historical fact itself, as thus recorded, was singularly noticeable, standing in a position marking it as peculiarly significant: that it really was a type, prophetical of a certain future spiritual procedure, is ascertained for us by the apostle’s exposition. Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman (ἔκβαλε τὴν παιδίσκην καὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς οὐ, γὰρ μὴ κληρονομήσῃ [or, κληρονομήσει] ὁ υἱὸς τῆς παιδίσκης μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἐλευθέρας cast out the handmaid and her son: for the son of the handmaid shall not inherit with the son of the freewoman. The Septuagint has “Cast out this (ταύτην) handmaid and her son; for the son of this (ταύτης) handmaid shall not inherit with my son Isaac (μετᾶ τοῦ υἱοῦ μου Ἰσαάκ);” the apostle’s citation being literally exact, except that it has not the words ταύτην and ταύτης (which are not in the Hebrew), and substitutes “the son of the freewoman” for “my son Isaac.” His object in these ‘changes, which do not in the least affect the substance, is to mark the utterance the more distinctly as God’s own voice, speaking of the parties concerned, not as Sarah did, being one of them, but as supreme Ruler and Judge: for the Lord adopted her decision for his own. In respect to Ishmael’s exclusion from inheriting, the instance of Jephthah (Judges 11:1, 2), excluded in somewhat similar terms by the legitimate sons of his father (“Thou shalt not inherit in the house of our father; for the son of a harlot woman art thou”), does not apply. Hagar was not a “harlot;” but stood with respect to Sarah in much the same position as did Bilhah and Zilpah to Rachel and Leah. We cannot doubt but that the discrimination made between the two sons, whatever was the character of Sarah’s feelings in the matter, is to be ascribed to God’s own sovereign appointment (see Romans 9:7, 11). In this terrible sentence, by which Hagar and Ishmael were driven forth beyond the pale of God’s most especial guardianship and blessing, the apostle hears the voice of God bidding away from his covenant all who disbelieved the gospel – all, that is, who set aside God’s assurances of his tree unmerited love to all who believed in Jesus. It should seem that it was mainly for the purpose of introducing this denunciation that the apostle has been at the pains to trace out the allegorical meaning of the narrative. The apostle is not now thinking of the national excision of the Jews; he is contemplating, not nationalities, but habits of mind – servile legality on the one side, and on the other faith accepting a free gift of grace. It is at their extreme peril, he in effect tells the Galatians, that they forsake the latter to take up with the former: God has shown that by so doing they will forfeit the inheritance altogether. Galatians 4:30.”
The son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the free woman’s son.
8.) Heb 2:6, “For in one place the Scriptures say,
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him?”
But one in a certain place testified: the Spirit proves affirmatively out of one of the prophets, that with these Hebrews it might have the more weight and authority, by an elliptical speech, that this world to come was subject to the great gospel Minister: But to Jesus he put in subjection the world to come, as one testifieth. This one was the king and prophet David, a Lord and Son to whom was this Jesus; the title of the 8th Psalm {Psalm 8:1-9} ascribes it to him: he is not particularly named, because these Hebrews well knew it, yet he diemarturato, thoroughly testified, or most expressly, giving a full confirmation of what is asserted, that Jesus is the Lord of the world to come: and this certain place was a well known place, and very ready with those, even Psalm 8:1-9.
Saying; making it known by word and writing there beyond any contradiction.
What is man? the subject of David’s admiration is not the first Adam, nor any mere man, but the gospel Prophet, God-man, a most eminent One, the Messiah of these Hebrews, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5; and to him only are the privileges vouchsafed agreeable, and by him only enjoyed. For Adam had now lost his dominion when this Psalm was penned, and was never so honoured as to have all things under his feet, even principalities and powers, which Christ had, Hebrews 2:8 Ephesians 1:20-22; and Christ interprets it of himself, Matthew 21:16. The expostulation is resolvable: Man is nothing in himself, that such royalty should be assigned to him.
That thou art mindful of him; that God should respect him, should remember and design such a worm as man for so great preferment, as union to the Deity and universal dominion.
Or the Son of man: this is the peculiar title of the Second Adam. Adam was a man, but not the son of man, but of God by creation, Luke 3:38; but the Spirit testifieth this of Christ, Daniel 7:13; Lord of the sabbath, Luke 6:5; God-man, John 3:13 5:27.
That thou visitest him; episkepth, to be peculiarly inspected; and with a special care concerned for him, so industriously and with so great a providence to afford him suitable succour. The form of it is an expostulation with admiration: it is an amazement at the discovery of so stupendous love to man. How emptied he himself for sinners! This work of Christ is the greatest wonder and astonishment to angels.”
Jesus is not mere mortal, He is the only Son of God.
9.) Jas 4:5, “What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the Spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy?”
Do ye think that the Scripture saith in vain? Greek, emptily, or vainly, i.e. to no purpose. This question hath the force of a negation, q.d. It doth not speak in vain.
Question. What is it which the Scripture doth not speak in vain?
Answer. Either those truths he had been speaking of before, particularly in the former verse, that the friendship of the world is enmity with God; or, that which follows in this verse, the spirit that dwelleth in us, & c.
The spirit that dwelleth in us; either the Spirit of God, who is said to dwell in believers, 1 Corinthians 3:16,17; or the spirit of men, viz. as defiled by sin, and acted by the devil, who works in men while children of disobedience; and then it is the same as corrupt nature.
Lusteth to envy; either is vehemently carried out to envy, or makes us lust, and carrieth us out to it; or lusteth against envy: so the Greek preposition is often used, as Luke 20:19 Ephesians 6:11 Hebrews 12:4. Under envy he comprehends all other fleshly lusts, but instanceth in this particularly, as having been speaking of it before, Jam 3:14,16; and because it hath so near a connection with other lusts, whereof it is the cause, or concomitant, and so is a principal member of the old man. This latter clause may either be read interrogatively or affirmatively; and then according as we take spirit, either for the Spirit of God, or the human spirit, the sense of the words may be either:
1. Doth the Spirit of God, that dwelleth in us, lust unto envy, i.e. incline and dispose us to so base an affection? The answer is understood: No, and confirmed by the next words, he giveth more grace, gives freely, liberally, and therefore doth not make us envy others any good they have. Nothing is more contrary to the Spirit of God, who abounds in his gifts to us, than to make us envy others theirs. Or:
2. We may understand it without any interrogation, taking the preposition to signify, against; and then the sense is: That good Spirit which is in us teacheth us better things than strife and envy, &c., for it lusteth against envy, i.e. makes us lust against it, carries out our hearts to hate and resist it. And this well agrees with what follows; The Spirit, &c., lusts against envy, but he gives more grace, viz. than to envy the good f others. Or:
3. If spirit here be understood of the spirit of man, corrupt nature, the sense is plain, as the words lie; man’s spirit (especially by the instigation of the devil) lusts, or strongly inclines, to envy, and consequently to other wickednesses, but he (that is, God, Jam 4:4) gives more grace.
Question. Where is any such sentence to be found in the Scripture?
Answer. No where in so many words; but which soever of these ways we take the words, we find the sense in the Scripture. Joshua’s envying Eldad and Medad’s prophesying, for Moses’s sake, seems to be an instance of this lust, Numbers 11:29, (compared with Genesis 6:5 8:21, where the general inclination of man’s heart by nature is said to be evil), and Moses’s not envying them an instance of the two former.”
The Spirit of God can never be filled with envy.
10.) Mat 21:42, “Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures,
‘A STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED,
THIS HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE;

AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES’?”
Jesus saith … – Jesus, having led them to admit the justice of the great “principle” on which God was about to act toward them proceeds to apply it by a text of Scripture, declaring that this very thing which they admitted to be proper in the case of the “husbandmen” had been predicted respecting themselves.
This passage is found in Psalm 118:22-23. It was first applicable to David, but no less to Jesus.
The stone – The figure is taken from building a house. The principal stone for size and beauty is that commonly laid as the cornerstone.
Which the builders rejected – On account of its want of beauty or size it was laid aside, or deemed unfit to be a cornerstone. This represents the Lord Jesus, proposed to the Jews as the foundation or cornerstone on which to build the church, but rejected by them – the builders – on account of his lack of comeliness or beauty; that is, of what they esteemed to be comely or desirable, Isaiah 53:2-3.
The same is become … – Though rejected by them, yet God chose him, and made him the foundation of the church. Christ is often compared to a stone, a cornerstone, a tried, that is, a sure, firm foundation – all in allusion to the custom of building, Acts 4:11; Romans 9:33; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:7.
Lord’s doing – The appointment of Jesus of Nazareth to be the foundation of the church is proved by miracle and prophecy to be the work of God.
Marvellous in our eyes – Wonderful in the sight of his people. That he should select his only Son – that he should stoop so low, be despised, rejected, and put to death – that God should raise him up, and build a church on this foundation, embracing the Gentile as well as the Jew, and spreading through all the world, is a subject of wonder and praise to all the redeemed.”
The Lord’s doing is always marvellous in our eyes.
11.) Mat 22:29, “But Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, since you do not understand the Scriptures nor the power of God.”
Verse 29. – Ye do err. Jesus does not condescend to answer directly to the contemptuous question proposed. He goes to the root of the matter, and shows the great error in which it originated. These disputants are treated with patience and calm argument, because they are not hypocrites like the Pharisees, but have the courage of their opinions, and do not seek to appear other than they are. They erred, said Christ, for two reasons: first, not knowing the Scriptures. Whatever might be the lax opinions which they held respecting the prophets, there was no dispute about the supreme authority of the Pentateuch, and these Scriptures (as Christ proceeded to prove) plainly implied the doctrine of the resurrection. Secondly, they ignored the power of God, to whom nothing is impossible, and who, in the resurrection, would perform a work very different from what they supposed – changing the natural into the spiritual, and transforming the characteristics of the life that now is into a different and higher sphere, yet preserving identity. Matthew 22:29.”
There are two things that mankind is mistaken: they do not understand the Scriptures nor the power of God. I found even scientists and philosophers err on these two counts.
12.) Mat 26:54, “How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?”
Ver. 51-54. Matthew relates this history shortly, but Mark much more, Mark 14:47; he saith no more than this, And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. Luke also relates something of it, Luke 22:50,51, And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him. John relates the same passage with some more particulars, John 18:10. Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus. Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? If any ask, how Christ and his disciples came to have a sword, he may be satisfied that they had two, from Luke 22:35-38, which verses being in none of the other evangelists, I have left to be spoken to in their order. The disciples seeing the officers laying hands on Christ, as was said Matthew 26:50, knowing what would follow, as Luke saith, one of them (St. John tells us it was Peter) drew a sword, and smote off the right ear of one of the high priest’s servants. John tells us his name was Malchus. Our Saviour reproveth Peter, commanding him to put up the sword again into its sheath, and telling him,
1. That he who taketh the sword should perish with the sword. It is to be understood of private persons taking up the sword to destroy their lawful magistrates; and this lesson it teacheth all Christians. Men must have the sword given orderly into their hands, before they may use it, and that no private person can have against the supreme magistrate.
2. Secondly, (saith our Saviour), I needed not thy help to defend me. If I were to make any defence, I could
pray to my Father, and he should
give me more than twelve legions of angels; there is therefore no need of thy drawing a sword in my defence.
3. The Scripture (saith he) must be fulfilled; it was prophesied of me that I should be thus used, and those prophecies must be fulfilled. Having reproved Peter, and silenced his passion, Luke tells us, he begged leave so far as to touch his ear, and he healed it; thus doing good to those that hated him, and working a miracle in the sight of them, which (had not their hearts been hardened) might have convinced them both of his innocency and his Divine power; but they take no notice of his kindness. Now he applies himself to the multitude of his enemies.”
Twelve legions of angels: 12 × 6,000 = 72,000.
If need be, one mighty angel is more than sufficient.
I figure 12 legions of angeles can destroy the whole Roman empire, the British empire, the sole superpower, etc.
13.) Luk 24:27, “Then beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.”
We are so stupid even today we do not know how beginning with Moses and with all the Prophets, explain all the things written about Jesus in all the Scriptures.
Verse 27. – And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. The three divisions, the Pentateuch (Moses), the prophets, and all the Scriptures, cover the whole Old Testament received then in the same words as we possess them now. The Lord’s proofs of what he asserted he drew from the whole series of writings, rapidly glancing over the long many-coloured roll called the Old Testament. “Jesus had before him a grand field, from the Protevangelium, the first great Gospel of Genesis, down to Malachi. In studying the Scriptures for himself, he had found himself in them everywhere (John 5:39, 40)’ (Godet). The things concerning himself. The Scriptures which the Lord probably referred to specially were the promise to Eve (Genesis 3:15); the promise to Abraham (Genesis 22:18); the Paschal lamb (Exodus 12.); the scapegoat (Leviticus 16:1-34); the brazen serpent (Numbers 21:9); the greater Prophet (Deuteronomy 18:15); the star and sceptre (Numbers 24:17); the smitten rock (Numbers 20:11; 1 Corinthians 10:4), etc.; Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14); “Unto us a Child is born,” etc. (Isaiah 9:6, 7); the good Shepherd (Isaiah 40:10, 11); the meek Sufferer (Isaiah 50:6); he who bore our griefs (Isaiah 53:4, 5); the Branch (Jeremiah 23:5; Jeremiah 33:14, 15); the Heir of David (Ezekiel 34:23); the Ruler from Bethlehem (Micah 5:2); the Branch (Zechariah 6:12); the lowly King (Zechariah 9:9); the pierced Victim (Zechariah 12:10); the smitten Shepherd (Zechariah 13:7); the messenger of the covenant (Malachi 3:1); the Sun of Righteousness (Malachi 4:2); and no doubt many other passages. Dr. Davison, in his book on prophecy, pp. 266-287, shows that there is not one of the prophets without some distinct reference to Christ, except Nahum, Jonah (who was himself a type and prophetic sign), and Habakkuk, who, however, uses the memorable words quoted in Romans 1:17. To these we must add references to several of the psalms, notably to the sixteenth and twenty-second, where sufferings and death are spoken of as Belonging to the perfect picture of the Servant of the Lord and the ideal King. His hearers would know well how strangely the agony of Calvary was foreshadowed in those vivid word-pictures he called before their memories in the course of that six-mile walk from Jerusalem to Emmaus. Luke 24:27.”
The central message of the Bible is Jesus Christ.
14.) Luk 24:32, “They said to one another, “Were our hearts not burning within us when He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?”
Luke 24:32-35. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us? — This reflection of the disciples, on this affair, is natural and beautiful. It is as if they had said, How strange it is that we should not have discovered him sooner, when we found his discourses have that effect upon us, which was peculiar to his teaching. For did not our very hearts glow within us, with love to God and our Divine Instructer, as well as to the truths which he made known to us by opening the Scriptures? They found the preaching powerful, even when they knew not the preacher; it not only made things of the greatest importance very plain and clear to them, but, together with a divine light, brought a divine warmth into their souls, and kindled therein a holy fire of pious and devout affections: and this they now notice for the confirming of their belief, that it was indeed Jesus himself who had been talking with them all the while. And they rose up the same hour — Not being able to conceal such good news, or to defer the publication of that which they believed would give their brethren such joy, as they felt in their own breasts; they therefore, late as it was, rose up from their unfinished meal, that very hour, and made all possible haste to Jerusalem, that they might declare to the other disciples the wonderful story, and give them full assurance of their Lord’s resurrection. They were, however, in some measure prevented: for, immediately upon their arrival, the apostles, with the women, accosted them with this declaration, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon — Before he was seen of the other apostles, (1 Corinthians 15:5,) he had, in his wonderful condescension and grace, taken an opportunity on the former part of the day, (though where or in what manner is not recorded,) to show himself to Peter, that he might early relieve his distresses and fears, on account of his having so shamefully denied his Master. The generality of the apostles had given little credit to the reports of the women, supposing that they were occasioned more by imagination than reality. But when a person of Simon’s capacity and gravity declared that he had seen the Lord, they began to think he was risen indeed. And their belief was not a little confirmed by the arrival of these two disciples, who declared that the Lord had appeared to them also, and gave a circumstantial relation of all that had happened.”
Where can you find a preacher when explaing the Scriptures can make your heart burning within?
15.) Act 17:2, “And according to Paul’s custom, he visited them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures.”
Reason in Greek is dialegomai which means to discuss; to ponder, revolve in mind; mingle thought with thought; — which occurs 13 times in the New Testament.
Acts 17:2-3. And Paul, as his manner was — Of doing all things, as far as might be, in a regular way; went in unto them — Entered their assembly; and three sabbath days reasoned with them — If any reader wishes to know more particularly the manner of the apostle’s reasoning with the Jews, and the proofs which he brought from their own Scriptures, in support of the facts which he affirmed, he will find an excellent example thereof in the sermon which Paul preached in the synagogue of Antioch in Pisidia, chap. Acts 13:16-41; where see the notes. Opening and alleging — Διανοιγων και παρατιθεμενος, explaining and evidently showing, that is, showing by clear and incontestable arguments: for the word signifies placing a thing before the eyes of spectators; that Christ must needs have suffered — That is, that it was necessary, according to the whole tenor of the prophecies, that the Messiah should suffer, and that no one could be the Messiah who did not suffer; and have risen again from the dead — The Scriptures having also clearly predicted that event; and that this Jesus whom I preach unto you is Christ — Having exactly fulfilled all these predictions of the Scriptures concerning the Messiah, and answered all the characters drawn in them of him.
THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IS REASONABLE. BUT THERE IS AN UNBELIEVING REASON THAT MAY SEND YOU TO HELL. LIKE THE FOOL WHO SAYS IN HIS HEART THERE IS NO GOD.
16.) Act 17:11, “Now these people were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.”
Noble-minded in Greek is eugenēs which means well born; of noble race; high in rank; — which occurs 3 times in the New Testament.
It is sure noble-minded to examine the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.
If a preacher preaches something that is not in accorance with the Scriptures, believers have a duty to reject them.
17.) Act 18:24, “Now a Jew named Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus; and he was proficient in the Scriptures.”
Proficient in Greek is dynatos which means able; excellent in something; capable; having power for something; — which occurs 32 times in the New Testament.
Ephesian Christians were fortunate to have Apollus who was both eloquent in speech and proficient in the Scriptures. You can hardly find a preacher like that even today.

24. And [Now] a certain Jew named Apollos] As this interposed narrative about Apollos is an unconnected digression, preparatory to what will be mentioned in the following chapter, it is better to render the conjunction by a less distinctly conjunctive word. So “Now” is better than “And.”
The name Apollos is an abbreviation of Apollonius, which is read in one MS. (D). His influence as a Christian teacher made itself most felt in Corinth. (Cp. 1 Corinthians 1:12; 1 Corinthians 3:5; 1 Corinthians 4:6.)
born at Alexandria (lit. an Alexandrian by birth)] On Alexandria as a place abounding with Jews cp. Acts 6:9. It was in Alexandria and by Jews that the Septuagint Version of the Old Testament was made.
an eloquent man] The word in the original expresses not only ability as an orator, but also the possession of stores of learning. Hence the Rev. Ver. gives “learned.” Either rendering only gives half the idea. He was learned and could use his learning with effect.
came to Ephesus, and he was mighty in the Scriptures] This is the arrangement and construction of the original. The study of the Old Testament flourished greatly in Alexandria, and Apollos had great power in the exposition and application of these Scriptures. The literary activity and philosophic pursuits of the Greek population of Alexandria were not without their effect on the more conservative Jews, and we find from many sources that the Jewish writings were studied with all the literary exactness which marked the Greek scholarship of the time, and the Jews, conscious of the antiquity of their own records and yet impressed with the philosophic character of their cultured fellow-citizens, bent themselves greatly to find analogies between the Mosaic writings and the teachings of the schools. In study like this Apollos had no doubt been fully trained.
Have you ever had a preacher who was both eoquent and proficient in Scriptures?
18). Rom 15:4, “For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”
We have hope in Jesus Chrisrt. The future belongs to Christians when Jesus Christ shall be the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The devil attacks the Christian hope with fear. Fear means to be afraid. You fear of something when you are afraid of something. There are many things in the world that make you afraid. Fear disturbs peace. The best remedy for fear is this:
Psa 56:3, “When I am afraid,
I will put my trust in You.”
You here refers to the Lord God Almighty, the Creator, Protector and Ruler of the universe.
Trust in Hebrew is bāṭaḥ which means confidence; hope; to put confidence; to hie for refuge; to throw one down upon his face; to feel safe; to rely upon (Strong’s Concordance); — which occurs 120 times in the Old Testament.
There was a period of time when America faced economic downturn so bad that even a Ph.D. became a taxi driver to survive. I was laid off not for months, but for years. I was so afraid that I would be out on the streets begging for bread. A white colleauge of mine told me that he went to garbage can to look for food. Until I read the Scripture: Psa 37:25,
“I have been young and now I am old,
Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
or his descendants begging for bread.”
So I claimed the Divine promise and prayed,
“Lord, You know I am a descendant of the righteous — poor missionaries. Please do not let me begging for bread.” Now I live to advanced age, I can testify that God has never forsaken me, and I never begged for bread.
During my sufferings and deprivation, I wrote a book entitled God and Savior: A Textbook on Christology.
It was something that the Library of Congress cataloged it. At first some person whom I do not know was credited to be the author of my book. I wrote to the Library of Congress Librarian, he did not even answer. So I wrote to a powerful U.S. Senator who helped me. The deliberate error was corrected without an apology and with immunity. Unfortunately, I do not have money to publish it. I discovered “evangelical monopoly” and I discovered almost all so-called Christian organizations of white establishment do or do not do something with monetary motive. 19.) Act 18:28, “for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.”
Jesus in Greek is iēsous. Jesus = “Jehovah is salvation”, Jesus, the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind, God incarnate.
The central message of the Scriptures is Jesus is the Christ, the Messaiah. Jesus, the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind: Matthew 1:21, 25; Luke 1:31; (Strong’s Concordance); — which occurs 917 times in the New Testament.
Christ in Greek is christos.
Christ = “anointed”
Christ was [and is] the Messiah, the Son of God.
Christós, khris-tos’; from G5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:—Christ — which occurs 529 times in the New Testament.
Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world. If you do not know this, everthing else you know does not matter.
God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to save mankind from their sins. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead by the power of God.
You must not neglect so great a salvation. Salvation is a gift of God. You do not deserve it, we all do not deserve it. You cannot earn it. No one is good enough to go to Heaven. But you can repent of your sins and believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior to be saved. You are saved by the grace of God and through faith in Jesus Christ. You can do it now.

How to advance China’s modernization:
- Legally, Taiwan has been restored to China from Japan. In fact, the two parties (KMT and People Progressive Party) have rebelled against China for 80 years, raped by Japan and America or simultaneously. China can give Taiwan one last chance: conduct referendum to determine which is larger in population; if those who want to return to China are greater, then they can overthrow the current regime and set up a provisional government waiting for China to take over.
If those who want to be Independent are greater, they can leave Taiwan. China shall use force to liberate Taiwan and publicly execute those traitorous party leaders. Undoubtedly, PPP has done the greatest harm by ditching Chineseness in everything. I think their past and present leaders will escape fast to America. Enogh is enough, 80 years of rebellion are enough.
- Learning from black criminals, black pimps, black population in America and Africa, no blacks in whatever capacity may enter China.
- To pump major investment into Africa and other undeveloped, unmotivated, insolvent and lazy peoples is like to throw away money into a black hole. Global problems are not China’s problems. Many nations enjoy themselves by conning and consumming China’s resources so that China will be behind India. China has aided more than 100 nations, not one has shown any tangible gratitude.

8. Improve manufacture with only high qualify products and penalize fake goods and poor quality products.
9. Eliminate corruption, organized crime, counterfeit currency, rumor, smuggling of any sort and monopoly and overchages of hospitals and doctors.
10. Democracy is the greatest fraud perpetrated by the West in the world; China must not immitate the West but go its own way.
11. Recruit 6-footers who have graduated from college into a new military school like West Point to be trained to become military leaders.
12. Overhaul CGTN with respect to its ideology, personnel, programming and commercials. No liquor, cigarette, Western fake goods are allowed on TV.
13. Ban uncivilized sports such as boxing, fencing, grand prix, and all intentionally body-hurt games.
14. China has no need to save any underdeveloped, unmotivated, impoverished, insolvent and useless nations; China has need to save itself.
15. Enhance nuclear weapons so that China in a superior position not threatened by any country.
16. Improve military position toward neigboring hostile nations.
17. Revitalize rural areas not only liberating from poor and backward situations but able to be independent economically, financially, and productively.
18. Overhaul CGTN: scrap Africa, Latin America and Arab programs; forcus on China, Asia, America and Europe.
19. October 25, on Taiwan Restoration Day, I advocate to move China’s national treasures which amount to $100,000 trillion dollars and priceless from Taipai Palace Museum back to Beijing without delay or hitch.

I want to tell you, the Chinese people and peoples of the world, under leadership of Chinese government, Chinese engineers, scientists, technicians and workers have achieved and surpassed many nations in the fields of space, transportation, agriculture, industry, manufacture, AI, infrastrutures, etc.
Peace 2025 is seriously flawed because mediating Arabs and terrorist Hamas released a few Israel hostages (not all) and some are dead. Hamas even released dead bodies who are not Jewish hostages. Hamas has reached the height of wickedness. People of evil relgion have no qualm to do any evil. Israel released nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in good health. All murderous and abusive Hamas must be killed. Terrorists must be destroyed without mercy because they show mercy.
Peoples of undeveloped, violent, unmotivated, insolvent, useless nations should not access to world media, should not attend any international meeting, should not receive any international aid.
On October 1, 2025 I urge the Hong Kong government and people to start de-Britishlization of Hong Kong names of streets and roads. For example, Victoria Peak should be changed to Dengxiaping Peak; Queen’s Road should be changed to Maozedong Road, etc.
It is laughable that a black politician made a statement on TV, “Africa cannot develop without fossil fuel.” What Africa does not have, can make long laundry list. Years ago when China was poor and did not have anything. Did America and Europe give aid? In fact to these days they are the biggest enemies of China, oppressors, trouble makers, diplomatic obstructionists and military aggressors. In America, the elderlies have to make a choice between taking a meal and medications. They cost $25 each; to have a meal they cannot afford to have medications. The electric bills are so high, even though they have heaters and air conditioners, they die in Summer and Winter. Every year I lectured at major Chinese universities and vacationed in China for 3 weeks when I worked for an American corporation. I noticed my electric bill did not go down even I was out of the country for 3 weeks. The female representative of Edison Power had the gall to say they do not charge customers by usage.
Africa has done nothing to deserve a large coverage by world media. Civil wars, conflicts, protests and constant shortages should be ignored. Undeveloped nations have no hope because of their corrupt leaders and politicians, their peoples are lazy and unproductive. They glorify tribalism, barbarianism and primitive behavior. They dislike work, like games and sports although sports produce nothing. They have civil wars, conflicts, tensions, gangs and terrorists, violence, man-made and natural disasters. They eat and get fat, sing and dance, drink beer and have sex, produce so many unwanted children they cannot support. These useless, ugly, immoral and unworthy peoples do not deserve any humanitarian aid. Ten or more years from now they will get worse and worse.
Is there any future or hope for America when the President, the Congress and the Supreme Court do not uphold the law by deporting 45 million illegal aliens already residing in America on welfare and let hordes of unlawful migrants enter boldly and freely to ruin America???
This is the voice of an old dying American in the wilderness who does not seek money or power.
- The new President must attack Mexico militarily for violating American sovereignty, being the conduit of unlawful migrants for years AND drugs trafficking. Drop a few bombs on Mexico City may be a good start.
- Deport 45 million illegal aliens already residing in America and use military to prevent invasion of hordes of illegal migrants from entering the United States and reject all asylum seekers. Build walls and militarize the borders for safety and security.
- Mexico threatens loss of US 400,000 jobs, US by canceling NAFTA will cost Mexico 4 million jobs.
- Use military to repel unlawful migrants and shoot at migrants who cut the fence or destroy the wall.
- Withdraw support from Ukraine, END the war, and execute the Ukraine leader for war crimes and corruption.
- Enact the law to require citizenship to apply for welfare, and all welfare recipients must work to get benefits.
- Annihilate Iran, terrorists Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis; and force Palestinians to evacuate from the Jewish lands and go to lands of Arabs.
- America has been playing the fool so long, of course America must be FIRST for America.
- Former imperialists and colonialists must pay compensations to their former colonies. African nations are big talkers but small doers. Africa must be self-sufficient and receive no aid.
- A nation has no reason to exist if it does not have water, food and fuel and basic infrastructure.
- It is strangest that UN, WHO, ICC (International Criminal Court) etc. Speak and Support terrorists HAMAS, HEZBOLLAH and HOUTHIS.
- It is a felony to harbor, hire or help unlawful migrants or illegal aliens.
