This article is written to let you know there are things which can be done or obtained only through Jesus Christ, and through no one else. There is no one else can save you or help you. To be without Jesus Christ is to be without hope for time and eternity; for this world and the world to come. Jesus Christ is the Way to God, there is no other way. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Savior of the world. This is the Truth. To believe in Jesus Christ is to believe the Truth. Those who repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will receive life, the eternal life.
What must be done through Jesus Christ cannot be done through any person.
1. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
Jhn 1:17 , “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
Note: Historically God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, the Law for the people to observe. There is truth in the Law, but no grace. Grace and truth came only through Jesus Christ. Under the dispensation of law, the law is good but man is sinful, so all men are condemned to death. In the dispensation of grace, Jesus Christ offers the righteousness of God which men can never obtain by keeping the law. This is the truth that to know Christ is to have eternal life. It is the grace of God. Outside of Christ, there is no grace and truth for salvation. The law only tells you are a sinner but cannot save you. Jesus Christ reveals the truth of God and the grace of God so that sinners can be saved. You are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
2. The good news of peace through Jesus Christ.
Act 10:36 , “You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, preaching the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.”
Note: There is no peace for sinners because the wrath of God is upon sinners. The good news of peace because Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we may have peace with God. When we have peace with God, we also have peace in our hearts.
3. Through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved.
Act 15:11 , “But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.”
Note: Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The word “grace” in Greek is charis which means unmerited or undeserved favor (contains the idea of kindness which bestows upon one what he has not deserved; preeminently of that kindness by which God bestows favor freely done even upon the unworthy and ill-deserving sinners) or gift of a heavenly benefit. Its dogmatic significance stresses the entire and absolute freeness of the lovingkindness of God to men. The eternal life is a gift of God, not that anyone is worthy or can earn by any means. No one is good enough to go to Heaven, everyone is bad enough to go to Hell. Salvation is the gift of God, it is free, you cannot earn it. We do not deserve it.
4. I thank my God through Jesus Christ.
Rom 1:8 , “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.”
Note: The fact that we have faith we must thank God through Jesus Christ. It is not any good in us that makes us believe. God loved us not because we love Him. Through Jesus Christ we were called and chosen to be the children of God. I thank my God through Jesus Christ for saving me and the Spirit of Christ lives in me to guide, lead and protect me.
5. God will judge men’s secrets through Jesus Christ.
Rom 2:16 , “This will take place on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my Gospel declares.”
Note: In the sight of God no man has any secrets. God knows everything about you and me and everybody. God knows your secrets, my secrets and everybody’s secrets. God knows the secrets of Washington, Wall Street and Hollywood. No top secrets can escape God. No classified information that God does not know. When God judges, no one can escape. The Father has given the Son the authority to judge, so there is no judgment for those who have been redeemed by our Savior the Lord. This is the essence of the Gospel. Jesus Christ died for sinners so that all who repent and believe in Him receive the forgiveness of sins. There is no more condemnation for those Jesus Christ has redeemed.
6. The righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
Rom 3:22 , “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference.”
Note: By keeping the law no one can obtain the righteousness of God. By good deeds and merit no one is worthy to be justified by God. There is no difference among men, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. This is the good news: The righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. How? The following is the explanation.
7. Through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Rom 3:24 , “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”
Note: The redemption in Christ Jesus was purchased by His precious blood. All who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior are justified freely by His grace. To be justified by God means to be counted as righteous by God through Jesus Christ. There is no redemption outside of Jesus Christ. There is only salvation by grace and through faith in Jesus Christ.
8. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:1 , “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Note: By dying on the cross Jesus Christ has reconciled repentant sinners to God. Since Jesus Christ paid for our sins with His life, we now have peace with God. We have peace with God because we will not face the wrath of God. Instead we also have the right to become the children of God.
9. We rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:11 , “Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
Note: Sinners are enemies of God; Jesus Christ made peace with God on our behalf by sacrificing His life. There is no redemption outside of Jesus Christ. We rejoice in God because Jesus Christ rose from death by the power of God for our justification, and we have now received reconciliation with God who is our Heavenly Father.
10. The gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:17 , “For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one Man, Jesus Christ.”
Note: In Adam all died because of sin. Through Jesus Christ believers receive the gift of righteousness which reigns in life. How does grace reign? Read the following:
11. Grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Rom 5:21 , “So that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Note: Sin reigned in death. Grace reigns through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ.
12. Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free.
Rom 8:2 , “Because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”
Note: How? Rom 8:11 , “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
Note: If you have the Spirit of Christ in you, you have life.
13. I beg you through the Lord Jesus Christ…that you strive together.
Rom 15:30 , “Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me.”
Note: In the work of the Lord, brothers and sisters must strive in prayers to God through Jesus Christ and through the love of the Spirit. Our efforts for the Kingdom of God are moved by the love of Christ.
14. Called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God.
1Cr 1:1 , “Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother.”
Note: Apostles were special disciples of Jesus Christ, the Twelve; Judas the betrayer lost his position, Jesus Christ called Paul to replace him. Today there are many preachers by occupation who were not called by God. The worse are the false prophets and false teachers, preachers of prosperity gospel are not servants of Christ. Many preachers in America and Europe preach prosperity gospel who put their hearts on things of the world. Many Chinese preachers do not preach the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, I do not know it is because they do not know and do not know how, or they do not want to. There are so many occupational pastors and preachers who are not called to serve. They have no living message, their churches are dead.
15. Through Jesus Christ we live.
1Cr 8:6 , “Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.”
Note: All things were created through Jesus Christ, and through Him believers live. To live for Christ is to do the will of God. Because the Redeemer lives forever, so believers shall live forever. The saved souls will live forever because our Redeemer lives forever.
16. He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Cr 15:57 , “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Note: Human victory is fought and won, but not spiritual victory. Victory is given through our Lord who has conquered death, the world, and the devil. Victory by military might does not last. All empires vanished.
17. Through Christ our comfort overflows.
2Cr 1:5 , “For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”
Note: The word “comfort” in Greek is paraklēsis which means consolation, solace or cheer. The comfort in Christ is not only sufficient, it is abundant. The comfort of the world even for the rich and powerful will run dry. Through Christ our comfort overflows just like the psalmist says, My cup runs over.
18. We have such confidence through Christ toward God.
2Cr 3:4 , “We have such confidence through Christ toward God.”
Note: The word “confidence” in Greek is pepoithēsis which means trust, reliance. Recent events magnify the fact you cannot trust the government, banks, mortgage, insurance and big firms. There is nothing and no one you can trust in this world. Our confidence is through Jesus Christ toward God. No one can stand before the Holy and Righteous God. Through the blood of Jesus Christ we have access to God with confidence. Children of God, do not fear, you can call on the name of the Lord anytime and anywhere.
19. It came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Gal 1:12 , “For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.”
Note: The Gospel that Paul preached and we believe came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. The word “revelation” in Greek is apokalypsis which means laying bare, uncovering or disclosure of truth concerning divine things before unknown. Revelation is direct disclosure from God, distinguished from other methods of instruction. Christianity is the revealed religion , not man-made like others. Prophets of old knew about the expanding universe because God revealed to them. You cannot use science to discover God, you cannot use human wisdom to find God. Jesus Christ reveals God to mankind. To know Jesus Christ is to know God.
20. The blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:14 , “He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.”
Note: The blessing given to Abraham by God is made available to the Gentiles through Jesus Christ because He died for the whole world. By the redemption of Christ, the Gentiles (non-Jews) may receive the blessing given to Abraham by faith.
21. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:26 , “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Cf. Jhn 1:12 , Gal 4:7 .
Note: False prophets and false teachers fool people by saying all human beings are children of God. Not, so. There are children of God and there are children of the devil. People who repent and believe in Jesus Christ are all sons of God. No matter how good you are, you are not good enough to become sons of God by your own merit. Only those who have the Spirit of Christ belong to Christ, those who belong to Christ are the children of God.
22. To be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ.
Eph 1:5 , “He (God) predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will.”
Note: It is God’s pleasure and will to adopt non-Jews who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. This is a right given to all believers in Christ.
23. God who created all things through Jesus Christ.
Eph 3:9 , “And to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ.”
Note: The mystery from the beginning of the ages was Christ, the Creator, the Savior, the Son of God. God created all things through Jesus Christ. Evolution theory is the biggest scientific myth. Man is not made by evolution. In the beginning God created male and female. The universe did not come by “big bang” or small bang. God through Jesus Christ created the universe.
24. The fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ.
Phl 1:11 , “Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ – to the glory and praise of God.”
Note: The fruit of righteousness only comes through Jesus Christ. No one can produce the fruit of righteousness through their own goodness or good deeds. Your righteousness is not acceptable to God, the righteousness of Jesus Christ is given to all who believe in Him. The righteousness of Christ is the righteousness of God.
25. The peace of God…will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phl 4:7 , “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Note: There is nothing in this world which can guard your hearts and minds; not money, not power, not position, not connection, not science, etc. Only the peace of God which is beyond human understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The world is full of troubles, no wonder some people lose their minds and have broken hearts.
26. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Phl 4:13 , “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Note: This lies the secret of our victory – Christ strengthens us in all things. Jesus Christ is the power of God, the power of Christian life. Believers, children of God, can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
27. God appointed us to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 5:9 , “For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Note: Outside of Jesus Christ there is no salvation. The truth may offend people, all religions do not offer salvation; they may offer fake salvation. Those who worship other gods incur God’s wrath. Salvation comes only from Jesus Christ who died for sinners on the cross and rose from death to justify all who put their trust in the Savior of the world. God does not predetermine anyone to perish, God wants all repent and believe in Jesus Christ to be saved.
28. Make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:15 , “And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”
Note: The world is upside down as witnessed by what is taking place recently in America, where Wall Street, bank, mortgage, insurance, and big firms executives managed their businesses into bankruptcy, not only they got hundreds of billions of dollars in bailout money from taxpayers, not only they are not held accountable for their corrupt and fraudulent practices, they also gave themselves who failed in management billions of dollars in compensation and bonuses. Are they not wise for themselves? Although they escape the judgment of men, they are certainly not wise for salvation, for they will die in their sins and condemned to eternal punishment. The children of darkness are much more shrewd in worldly matters than the children of light. The evil trinity – Wall Street, Washington, and Hollywood – is not wise for salvation, not wise for things that last.
29. Whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ.
Tts 3:6 , “Whom He poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.”
Note: God poured out the Holy Spirit on believers generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.
30. Sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ.
Hbr 10:10 , “By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Note: Believers are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all because His precious blood cleanses us from all sins. Thus our position in Christ is sanctified before God.
31. Doing His will…through Jesus Christ.
Hbr 13:21 , “Equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
Note: The will of God is supreme; we must submit ourselves to God through Jesus Christ.
32. Offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1Pe 2:5 , “You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
Note: Spiritual sacrifices are acceptable to God only through Jesus Christ.
33. In all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
1Pe 4:11 , “If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”
Note: In all things, no human merit is acceptable to God. In all things Christ must be preeminent so that God may be praised through Jesus Christ.
34. To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ.
Jud 1:25 , “To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
Note: Glory, majesty, power and authority belong to God our Savior. Jesus Christ is the only God and our Savior.
You have learned only through Jesus Christ your sins can be forgiven, to be saved and to have the eternal life.
Would you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that you can be saved?
You can do it right now.
